The day begins...
As far as the rest of the day, this morning will see me wondering about looking into the security exhibitors and finding my way back here to the quasi-BloggerZone. Full Code Press has taken over BloggerZone for the day and we have been shuffled to the Media Room. Not to bad for space, but not nearly as comfortable.

A brief Security Update
Here's a curly one for you, The one company I wanted to check out has taken me the better part of the day to find. Timesaver International, a computer security focused company, creator of CyberForceField and several other soon-to-be-released programs was hidden in an error of timing. Six weeks ago the buyers guide to CeBIT 2007 went to print. Since that time a rename of the company happened to co-exist with today's launching of CyberForceField. Thus Timesavers International was printed in the guide as Fileprotector TIME (the previous incarnation of the program).
All-in-All a minor problem says the team at the exhibit, as they have already been approached by several heavy hitters in the IT security requiring sector. However it took me the better part of the day and directions from an inside source to find them. However I can report that after a brief demo by the software's architect I will not only be purchasing the program at some time in the near future but heavily promoting them to all ears I can bend.
Keep an eye out for them in Second Life the online MMOC but also at their website www.cff07.com for upcoming releases and info on their radical education concept CyberMartialArts.
Till later: Keep one eye on the ground and a hand in your pocket.
CeBIT Day 1: The PM Run
Well the feet are tired, the ears are sore, and the brain has kicked into auto pilot. I think it's time to break for lunch.
I just had a great talk with the Joomla people (www.joomla.org), who were very friendly and informative. I'll have to check it out a little more I think. The way they talked about it a child of 10 could probably teach me how to use it. Which means without a 10 year old, I'll have to hit the forums. Don't forget this is a work in progress, so come back and check for updates to the blog such as links and expanded articles.
Without food the brain gets fuzzy, but you can swim in dry ice without getting wet if you let it melt.
CeBIT Day 1: The AM Session
So here I am, after a 2 hr transport nightmare and the joy of wondering aimlessly for 20 min. our hero has finally found the Blogger Zone and dropped his show bag of swag, to type and charge. I've done the prelim look about and am getting the lights out of my eyes to do some serious lookin' and hob-nobbin'. There are a plentitude of exhibitors, those that you'll know and some I'll try to introduce to you.
The first striking innovation I've seen is Skin-Mobile. It's a condom for your phone. No it wont keep you "safe", but it will keep your phone clean and working even completely submerged in "Water, snow, mud, blood and other" liquids. It even comes in different colours.
I'll be back after a coffee and a wonder.
Walk with your eyes up and your mouth closed, people enjoy your silence.
